Agree on a place you would like to visit. Depending on the time available it could either be a day trip or several days. For the true wanderlust experience, camping is perfect when you have days to spare. It increases avenues for adventure as you experience nature in the raw. If you can, go all out and travel to another country. You could both save up for a couple of months. This gives you something big to look forward to, and you’ll find yourselves really invested in making it happen.

Away from nature you could try out other activities like paintball. It’s fun, adrenaline-inducing and improves your strategy as you aim to avoid the ‘ammunition’. Trust me you will want to avoid painful strikes from the balls- they hit hard. But that adds to the excitement, right?
