International Women’s Day is marked on March 8 every year to commemorate the movement for women’s rights. It’s a day to celebrate the social, economic, political and cultural achievements of women. This day has been celebrated for more than 100 years. Ahead of this year’s IWD, we turn the spotlight on one phenomenal woman making her mark on the international scene- Victoria Kimani.
Victoria has enjoyed a successful music career over the years. And she is not about to slow down. Apart from her musical prowess she is renowned as the queen of style. The singer has recently launched her clothing line- Kimani Couture- and people are already taking orders. The latest release is a bomber jacket collection for women inspired by her African roots.
The jackets have a fun twist to them and can be dressed up or down. They come in various African prints like Maasai and Ankara.
Victoria is an American-born Kenyan singer, songwriter, entertainer and actress signed to Chocolate City. She is well known for her hit songs China Love, Giving You, All The Way, Do What You Do, among others.
She is set to begin her Kenyan tour from next month in major towns including Nairobi, Eldoret, Mombasa and Kisii. Fans can look forward to amazing live performances with fresh renditions of Victoria’s hits- words from the artiste herself.
