Step aside Black Panther, there’s a new hot movie on the block. Avengers: Infinity War was released in theatres this past week. Movie buffs all over the world are begging those who’ve already watched it not to ruin their anticipation with spoilers. So if you haven’t watched the movie yet, you might want to pause reading this article here.
This movie is based on the Avengers superhero team whose escapades are chronicled in the Marvel Comics. Marvel Studios produced the comic while Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures handles the distribution. Avengers: Infinity War comes as a sequel to The Avengers (2012) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). It’s the 19th Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
Thanos and his children capture the ship ferrying survivors of the destruction of Asgard. Just before this, they had acquired the Power Stone from the planet Xandar. As much as they would like to, Thor, Loki, Heimdall and Hulk (the superheroes) are powerless to prevent them from extracting the Space Stone from the Tesseract.
This is because Hulk is overpowered by Thanos, Thor is imprisoned and Loki is killed. Heimdall sends Hulk to Earth before being killed. Thanos obliterates the ship shortly after making a clean exit with his children. At this point, the universe faces the reality of total destruction as Thanos unleashes his reign of terror.
We’ll have to stop here lest we give the whole plot away. Avengers: Infinity War promises to be an engaging movie, with those who’ve watched it reporting having their minds blown. Get yourself a ticket today and give your eyes a feast.
