Wahu Kagwi recently released her new song My Everything, a testimony about overcoming huge family challenges. This is the beautiful singer’s second gospel track. Her first one, Sifa, drew reactions from both sides of the divide as she announced her decision to accept Christ and ditch secular music.
In My Everything, she narrates how her husband’s illness convicted her to get saved. Nameless was hospitalised with a blood clot in his head. It happened that her father was also sick at the moment. This trying moment led her to a spiritual awakening of seeking God.
Wahu has this to say about the track: “My Everything talks of a woman who sought Gods intervention when her husband and father of her children suddenly fell ill, on an ordinary morning as the family went about their normal morning routines. At her point of desperation, and realizing that her husband’s life was on the balance, she called on Jehovah Rapha, God our healer to reveal Himself …. and He did.”
She continues: “God hears us, even when we don’t think He does. He is no respecter of persons, personalities or positions. All He requires is an honest heart that seeks His face fervently. Sometimes, God doesn’t answer our prayers the way we expect, sometimes He does. But it is amazing to rest in the knowledge that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord.”
My Everything is a song of praise for His faithfulness in getting those who trust in Him through hard times, as evidenced in a sample of the lyrics:
