It’s no secret that Rihanna is a musical powerhouse. With a successful music career to her name for so many years, her star has been shining brighter- and exponentially so. And she isn’t about to stop any time soon. Coming hot on the heels of the release of various Fenty Beauty products is a lingerie line named Savage X Fenty.
Rihanna broke the news of the product launch on her Instagram feed (check it out here). She posed while dressed in a black corset paired with garters. She had minimal accessories and makeup on. She explained this as the inspiration behind the lingerie line in her interview with Vogue magazine.
“I’m not built like a Victoria’s Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie.” “Savage” is the perfect moniker for the line because it represents being “really about taking complete ownership of how you feel and the choices you make. Basically making sure everybody knows the ball is in your court.”
She added, “As women, we’re looked at as the needy ones, the naggy ones, the ones who are going to be heartbroken in a relationship. Savage is just the reverse. And you know, guys don’t like getting the cards flipped on them—ever.”
Rihanna is inspiring women of all body shapes and sizes that you don’t have to have a ‘model’s body’ to enjoy wearing lingerie.
