Mama Afrika Film Festival (formerly Udada Film Festival) is calling on all female filmmakers, sculptors and visual artists to submit their works for a chance to be showcased. This year’s theme is Legendary Women, a recognition of the power of representation and diversity in film, especially of women.
The festival will run from 27th to 30th September 2018 with artistic performances, a cultural night in celebration of diversity in film and cuisine and a gala to award filmmakers part of the itinerary.
Submssions close on 30th June and the requirements for filmmakers are below:
- Production must have been completed after June 2016.
- Films must have been done by African women and be about African gender issues.
- Submission copies must be PAL format DVD. Submit 3 copies.
- An English language track or subtitled version is required.
- Duly filled entry form
