Eyes are the windows to the soul. They’re the part of your face that people focus on the most when talking with you. As such, you want to ensure that the eye area is well groomed. Most ladies confess to struggling with their eyebrows, but there might actually be a solution to this: eyebrow tinting.
How Is It Done?
Eyebrow tinting involves applying a dye to the eyebrows to make them darker. The dye is left on for 15- 20 minutes and then rinsed off. Apart from making brows darker, it also gives an illusion of fullness for those who have thin brows. The colour should last 4- 6 weeks, after which your eyebrows return to their original colour. Some of the brands you could check out include Eylure Permanent Brow Tint and SmartFX SmartBrow.
Pros
The procedure is straightforward and easy enough to be done at home.
- It takes little time to do.
- Saves you the hassle of daily ‘fixing’ of eyebrows.
- Painless as compared to tweezing and threading.
Precautions You Need To Take
Follow the instructions on the packaging carefully. Don’t exceed the stated application time. Apply the dye only on the eyebrow hairs, avoiding the eye area. We all know this region is very sensitive. If any dye gets into the eyes, rinse off immediately with cool water. For extra protection, apply a layer of pertoleum jelly around the eye. If the dye is runny, use cool, damp cotton pads to soak up any excess.
Make sure you only use dye specifically made for tinting eyebrows. Other types of dyes could be too harsh. Use only reputable brands for the sake of your health.
If you’re getting the service done at a salon, ensure the beauty technician uses a new, disposable applicator to eliminate risk of infection from reused applicators.
