Pizza. Everyone loves it, right? Whether taking it as a meal or snack, it will sure have you coming back for more. And you don’t even need to leave the house to indulge- you can prepare it right at home!
Ingredients
a) Pizza
2 1⁄2 cups flour
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp yeast
1 cup water
1 tsp sugar
b) Topping
1⁄4 cup tomato sauce
1⁄2 tsp salt
1 1⁄2 cups pepperoni slices
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1⁄8 tsp pepper
1⁄2 tsp garlic powder
3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
Method
For the pizza
- In a large bowl, mix the sugar, salt flour and yeast.
- Add the water and oil to the flour mixture.
- Knead on a floured surface for around 2 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl. Turn it around until all sides are greased.
- Cover with a cloth and let rise for 20 minutes.
- Punch the dough down and place in 12 inch greased pizza pan.
- Pat it down flat into a circle.
For the Topping
- Mix the Italian seasoning, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and garlic powder and spread over the crust.
- Put a few pepperoni slices on top of the sauce.
- Sprinkle with 1/2 of each type of cheese.
- Place the rest of the pepperoni on top of this.
- Drizzle the rest of the cheese.
- Bake at 200 Celsius for 20 minutes or until light brown.
