- Remove and discard rosemary. Stir in the sugar and honey until dissolved. Transfer to an appropriate container and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Add the lemon juice followed by the cold water and stir well. Serve over ice.
- Top with additional lemon slices and rosemary sprigs for extra taste as desired.
2. Strawberry Lemonade
Ingredients
450g strawberries
6 cups water
Ice cubes
1/3 cup raw honey
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Method
- Pop fresh strawberries into a blender and then puree them until they’re evenly broken down.
- Transfer the pureed strawberries to a fine mesh sieve and press through to get strained strawberry juice. This results in a smooth lemonade.
- Combine water with raw honey and cook over medium-high heat until the honey is dissolved, then transfer out of the sauce pan and allow to cool. Set aside.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the bottom of a jug, followed by honey syrup, and then fill the remainder of the jug with cold water. Stir to combine. This makes the lemonade base.
- And now for the strawberry flavour: Add 1/4 cup of the strawberry juice to the bottom of a or tall glass, followed by the lemonade itself and then top it off with some ice cubes to keep it cool. Enjoy! One glass won’t be enough.
