Sarah Waiswa

Known as LAfrohemien online, Sarah focuses on telling African stories through her images. Her work invokes deep thought from the viewer. She is also a Canon ambassador.

Micere Nyaga

She runs Mbichagraphy together with her business partner Abigail. They provide portrait, baby bump, wedding photography services and more. She describes herself as a passionate photographer, lover of wildlife and Land Rover Defenders, which is clearly evident in her work.

World Photography Day is an annual, worldwide celebration of the art, craft, science and history of photography. Althought it’s still considered a ‘man’s job’ in Kenya, these amazing women are changing the narrative- one image at a time.
