Though the podcast format has been around for some time now, in the last two years podcast consumption has increased, and people are getting more creative.
Here is a list of fairly recent Kenyan podcasts you need to tune in to. They are quite diverse from tech to motherhood and mental health, but also mostly about musings on life and adulting.
1. Zeda Talks
Zeda Media Founder Mwende Ngao initiated the Zeda Talks, to feature women speakers on business, science, technology, creativity, education, among many others.
Mwende describes her goal with Zeda as creating a community of women who enjoy lifestyle brand experiences, and are open to discovering and exploring new ones.
2. A Letter To My Younger Self
Popular Youtuber and content creator, Wabosha Maxine recently launched her podcast, A Letter To My Younger Self. This isa series of powerful, reflective interviews with ten Kenyans who are breaking boundaries.
Guests on the show write a letter to their younger self at an age that was most impactful to their life’s journey. She hopes to inspire youth to pursue the life they want to live through success and hard work.
Some of the guests featured on the podcast include John-Allan Namu, Willis Chimano of Sauti Sol, CEO of Vivo Activewear Wandia Gichuru, Olympic Weightlifter Winnie Okoth, and Musician Karun.
3. Future Lab Africa
According to Jepchumba, the founder of the series, Future Lab Africa is a ”podcast series (radio show) that hopes to breed curiosity by inviting you to use your imagination and think creatively with reckless abandon. The show is a call to explore African modes of science and technology outside of lab spaces and innovation labs.”

6. Moringa School Podcast
A series of conversations about technology Hosted by Michelle Atieno, Melissa Malala, Victor Ireri, Leo Igane and Eugene Nzioki. They take on tech entrepreneurship, bitcoin mining, fundraising for tech ventures among others.
7. The Human Interest Podcast
Human Interest is a storytelling weekly podcast by Evelyn Wambui featuring a mix of real and fictional stories about life. The narrations about people’s successes, challenges, losses and lessons.
8. Just Kidding
A weekly podcast hosted by Chaxy and Ayrosh where they talk about everything from music to cashing in on the creative economy, to relationships and masculinity.
9. Afrosport Podcast
This podcast is about African Athletes with a focus on Basketball in Kenya and Eastern Africa. It is hosted by Frank Ogallo.
10. Kenyan Musings
Hosted by Wambui Muchiri, Kenyan Musings breaks down Kenyan Politics and Global issues in a fun and simple manner.
