Contributions and Submissions

Are you a storyteller, writer, photographer, or creative with a passion for amplifying African women’s voices? We’d love to hear from you. Zeda is always looking to collaborate with contributors who bring curiosity, honesty, and boldness to their work. We cover a wide range of topics including identity, love, culture, work, lifestyle, politics, wellness, and personal essays centering the lived experiences of African women and those from underrepresented communities.

Whether it’s a deeply reported feature, an intimate essay, a visual story, or a cultural critique, we’re interested in pieces that speak truth, challenge norms, and spark dialogue.

At the moment, we’re an independent platform and do not have the funds to pay contributors, but we’re actively working toward a sustainable future where your work will be compensated. In the meantime, we offer editorial support, visibility across our platforms, and a growing, supportive community of fellow creatives.

If you’re aligned with our mission and want to pitch a story, send your idea to submissions@zedamagazine.com with a short bio, links to any previous work, and a brief pitch. We aim to respond within 2–3 weeks, but we appreciate your patience as a small team. hank you for considering Zeda as a home for your work. We’re excited to hear your voice.
