About Zeda

Authentic Stories. Bold Voices. Community Impact.

Zeda is a media company amplifying the voices of African women through powerful storytelling, bold conversations, and meaningful connections. Rooted in Nairobi and reaching across the continent, we create spaces, online and offline, for women to share, reflect, and connect.

Zeda was born from a simple but urgent truth: African women are telling some of the most powerful stories today, but they’re often unheard, undervalued, or underrepresented in mainstream media. We launched Zeda to change that. We believe in the power of our voices, our communities, and our truths to shape culture, shift narratives, and spark change.

Our platform includes a digital magazine, podcast, and a growing lineup of curated events that celebrate African womanhood in all its complexity. From the Zeda Book Club and our signature Craft & Sip gatherings, to thought-provoking Zeda Salons and the vibrant networking experience of Zeda Connect, we’re building a bold, intergenerational community of women who show up for themselves and each other.

Zeda is more than media. We are a movement for truth-telling, joy, freedom, and sisterhood. Whether we’re café hopping with book lovers or covering cultural revolutions, we’re committed to stories that matter and stories that move.
